I'm Vineta Saukāne a photographer based in Riga, Latvia, with a passion for portraits, film photography and documenting my surroundings. After living in London almost a decade, I've returned home, bringing with me a wealth of life experiences that shapes my perspective behind the camera.
My experience in London as a cycle courier wasn't just about navigating the city; it also sharpened my communication skill, as I regularly interacted with a wide variety of people from different background. This experience has made me adaptable, and it taught me how to stay composed and focused under pressure. In recent years I've focused on film photography, appreciating its authenticity, depth and timelessness. I have also formalized my training by completing a photography course at the International stylist school of Biruta Magele in Riga, where I developed my technical skills in lighting, composition and creative directions.
